Porter Legal Group is a law firm dedicated to providing legal services to clients who are in need of any immigration service whether that be businesses seeking foreign talent or families in need of guidance through the immigration process. We also handle divorce and child custody matters, as well as criminal defense. We are based in Dallas, Texas, but have clients who live all over the world and are willing to travel to meet our clients' specific needs. Anna was born in New York City but raised in Dallas, Texas. Her father is from Italy and her mother is from China, which sparked her interest in immigration from an early age. She also lived in France with her family where she attended elementary and middle school.

Anna has always wanted to be an attorney because she enjoys helping others. She grew up hearing about her mother's and other relatives' struggles with the immigration system in the U.S. so, she developed a passion for immigration law early on and studied it as her focus in law school.

While in law school, Anna clerked for the Attorney General's office and worked for a women's rights non-profit organization lobbying in Washington, D.C. to shut down sites where sex traffickers sold women and children. For her post-graduate fellowship, she worked for the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland pushing the issue of the sale of children in the United States.

After returning to the U.S., she moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked as the Legal Director for Mil Mujeres Legal Services, a non-profit organization which provides immigration legal services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She then moved on to a managerial position with a law firm in the D.C. area, Johnson Immigration Law, PC. As managing attorney, she handled almost every type of immigration case.

Anna relocated to her hometown, Dallas, Texas where she has opened up Porter Legal Group to serve the immigrant community in Texas. Porter Legal Group has since helped serve over 1,000 clients and expanded its practice areas into business immigration, divorce and child custody and criminal defense.

Anna is fluent in Spanish, French and Italian and uses her language skills every, single day with her clients. She is planning to learn Chinese next! In her free time, she enjoys quality time with family, travel, dancing and spending time with Randy and their 6 rescue pets!

Erin Kelley

Erin was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. As young as 12 years old, Erin knew she wanted to be an attorney so she could help make a difference in people's lives. She understands that people who need her help are looking for someone compassionate and trustworthy to help them through the difficult time in their lives.

After attending UCLA where she majored in political science and studying Latin, she relocated to Lubbock, Texas to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney while also studying for her Masters degree in Business Administration. She was officially licensed to practice law in May of 2013 and has since been admitted to the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Since becoming a practicing attorney, Erin has become a skilled negotiator and trial attorney. She might be small in stature but makes up for it with tenacity and passion. Erin believes that each case is important and requires careful analysis and honest communication. Her belief in communication has driven her to become fluent in Spanish to better connect with her clients.

Erin has been representing clients with immigration issues since the beginning of her career. Currently, Erin simultaneously represents people in both immigration and criminal courts. The knowledge and experience she has in each area make her more effective in both areas of law.

Greg Stephenson

Greg Stephenson practices exclusively federal immigration law. He has represented people from over 47 countries and enjoys meeting people from all over the world. Growing up in Southern California, Greg has been around the Spanish language his whole life. Through bilingual education in grade school, foreign exchange in high school, and a two year mission to Chile, Greg is at home in the Spanish language and Latino culture.

Greg graduated from Brigham Young University in 2002. After many adventures, he attended law school at the University of Idaho College of Law. While at Law School he participated in Law Review, Mock Trial and the Immigration Clinic. While serving in the clinic Greg found a passion for helping immigrants and decided to pursue a career in immigration law.

Greg is an active member of the American Immgration Lawyer Association. When not at work Greg enjoys spending time with family, racquet sports, and reading.

Pedro Conejo

Pedro is licensed by the State Bar of Texas. He earned his law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2019 and received his bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in business from The University of Texas at Austin in 2015.

During his study of law at SMU law, he clerked for various law firms in Dallas and in the legal department of Mary Kay, Inc. He was heavily involved in SMU’s Tax Clinic helping people with limited resources with their IRS issues to reclaim their livelihoods.

Pedro primarily focuses on family and immigration law issues. At a young age he knew he wanted to help those at the mercy of the legal system. He has a great passion for fighting for immigrants’ rights. Most importantly, he wants to help others reach their American dream. In family law matters, he seeks to reach an amicable and compassionate solution for all those involved

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and cheering on his Texas Longhorns every football season.

Randy Porter

Randy was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University along with a minor in Mathematics. He moved to Washington, D.C. for after graduating and lived there for 7 years before returning to the Dallas area.

Randy has worked as a software engineer for his entire career for several large IT consulting companies. He deals mostly with computer security-related issues and helps businesses secure their clients' data while allowing them to utilize some of today's new technology.

In addition to managing all of Porter Legal Group’s IT and marketing needs, Randy manages the work our firm does to help our businesses with all of their employment immigration needs.

In his free time, Randy enjoys golfing, coming up with new culinary creations, and traveling with his wife, Anna.

Alfonso Santamaria

Alfonso Santamaria was born in Dallas, TX. He is the eldest of three and is the son of Mexican immigrants. He and his siblings were raised by their single mother who always tried her best to provide the bare necessities. Seeing the struggles that his mother went through to provide for the family as an undocumented immigrant, he dedicated himself to be the first one to graduate and get a college education and to make it his mission to help the Hispanic community through any means possible.

In 2012 he graduated from Rowlett High School and opted to attend UT Arlington where he planned on getting a B.S. in Microbiology. In 2014 he began to intern at an immigration non-profit that offered legal services at a low cost which ultimately led him to obtain his accreditation from the Department of Justice to represent clients before USCIS. It was there that he found his passion and began to realize that the legal field was his calling.

In 2016, Alfonso graduated from University of Texas at Arlington and has continued working in the legal field. He hopes to one day become an Immigration Attorney serving the underserved communities. Alfonso is beyond excited to be working now at Porter Legal Group in the EOIR department.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading a good mystery, baking, puzzles, and road trips.

Bricel Mancera

Bricel was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She began her career in the legal field in 2011 and has since worked in the areas of civil law, family and immigration defense.

Seeing the injustices that many individuals faced without adequate or affordable representation, inspired Bricel to raise awareness on education, human rights and legal representation within the Hispanic community. While attending Lubbock Christian University, she was an active member of Paisano, an outreach program that addresses the needs of the Latino community and first-generation students. After completing her studies, she worked for the Titus County Justice of the Peace court and obtain her certification as a Level I Civil Court Clerk.

Bricel is passionate about serving others and advocating for juveniles. She hopes to attend Law School to become an immigration attorney and specialize in juvenile immigration cases.

Bricel enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading books written by John Grisham and challenging herself to learn something new every day.

Carolina Ramirez

Carolina was born and raised in Moorpark, California, at the age of 18 her and her family decided to move to Texas. She is the oldest of 3 children and has been the role model to her siblings till this day. Seeing how her parents struggled as being immigrants for 16 years she always dreamed to be able to help the Latino community. She began her career in the legal field in 2012 and has since worked in the areas of family, criminal and immigration law.

With her experience in a professional office executive assistant positions and track record of strong performance in high-volume and high-pressure environments, Carolina skillfully manages administration duties and client relations for her colleagues at Porter Legal Group. Carolina has had the opportunity to wear many hats and, as a result she has become very resourceful. She is extremely passionate in providing excellent customer service and helping anyone she can.

When she is not the office, Carolina enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, visiting her family, shopping, and playing with her two dogs.

Cassandra Cruz

Cassandra was born in and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is the middle child of three. Her parents are both immigrants from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Cassandra witnessed the struggles of immigrants throughout her life and that inspired her to want to become an Immigration attorney. She attended Sul Ross State university in West Texas, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in only three years. Cassandra excelled in her academic achievements, she was a regular Dean’s list recipient and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her dream is to one day become a judge. Cassandra is the heart of Porter Legal Group, as a Receptionist/ Paralegal she will greet you with a smile. She is engaged to her high school/college sweetheart, Officer Eric Flores with whom she has a beautiful basset hound named Jebbie.

Helen Salmeron

Helen is a native of Dallas, Texas. She began working as a Legal Receptionist in 2016 and has worked in the areas of family and immigration law.

Growing up, Helen saw the struggles her family had to endure as immigrants from El Salvador. Seeing her father and mother work hard to support their family, motivated Helen to want to help people in need. As a receptionist, Helen enjoys communicating and building personal connections with everyone she encounters to better assist them.

As a mother, Helen enjoys quality time with her children and taking them to sporting events. During her free time, Helen loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Osiris Chacon

Osiris was born in Acuna, Coahuila; a small town in Mexico. She has been here in the United States since she was 6 years old and considers Dallas her home. Osiris understands firsthand the struggles that come with coming to the United States looking for the American Dream and having to push themselves to new limits. She learned English when she was 7 and eventually became key in her family’s life, she made sure that her sisters were well taken care of and became a very responsible person at a young age. From translating important documents to attending her sister’s school meetings, Osiris was always there to lend a helping hand.

Her parents came here to make sure she had a good life and she was not going to let them down. She went on to become the first in her family to attend college and graduate. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology in May 2019. She hopes to one day attend Law School and become the District Attorney for Dallas County. She is a proud member of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated and has participated in many events that help the Latin Community. She loves to spend time with her friends and most importantly she is a proud mother of a dog.

Osiris is thrilled to have this amazing opportunity to help others and have a huge impact on peoples lives. Immigration law has not only been important to Osiris, but it has shaped her way of living. She hopes to help others and make their own American Dream come true.

Stephanie Bocanegra

Stephanie was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Dallas, Texas since age 2. Raised as an only child with her immigrant parents, she learned to be their voice. She would translate in everyday situations and therefore is fluent in both Spanish and English. Many years later and after seeing all her parents' struggles in the immigration spectrum, they became legal permanent residents. After 20 years of living in the United States, her father finally returned to Mexico and her mother returned to El Salvador. She saw how her parents were reunited with their loved ones after many years of being apart. In that moment she knew she wanted to help people achieve that same happiness.

She became a first-generation college student and graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice.

After graduating she worked as a Department of Justice Accredited Representative for 5 years at an immigration non-profit organization. There she helped guide many families through their immigration process and continues to do it now with us. Her years of experience will be the ones to help guide you and explain everything you may not understand.

Yulissa Gonzalez

Yulissa was born & Raised in Dallas, TX. She is an only child & the 2nd in her family to obtain a college degree.

She received her B.S. in Criminal Justice at the University of North Texas at Dallas in May 2019.

At a very young age Yulissa always knew she wanted to help others in any way that she could. In 2016 she got the opportunity to start working for a non-profit organization where she was able to learn about immigration & help many clients become legal in this country.

In her four years as an Immigration paralegal, Yulissa has learned to do a wide variety of Immigration applications, but specializes mostly on Waivers of Inadmissibility.

She hopes to continue helping many obtain their legal status and to one day be able to become a Criminal/Immigration Attorney.

In her free time, Yulissa enjoys spending time with family, shopping, and traveling.
